You Ain't Going Nowhere (Dylan) A song that stands as both summation and critique of the entire Basement Tapes saga. This is not the set of lyrics familiar from the Byrds version, but a tired and emotional, off-the-top-of-the-head, out-of-the-tree version instead. As Bob says - "come on you bunch of Basement noise, you ain't no head of lettuce", and, really, there's no way to disagree. Crazy Chester plays every damn thing, exceptin' acoustical guitar, which Tiny flails away at. And vocalises, agin.

He has just cruelly indicated a hard decision to his significant other. Sheet lightening casts a lace wrap over the sky round New Iberia, and folks look up, wondering when the rain will finally stop.
