Tiny Montgomery
(Dylan)
Where the journey starts: a braggard warns a whole town that he sends a welcome... and wants everyone, including law enforcement, to know.
Crazy Chester plays every damn thing, includin' that crazy banjolin. Tiny sings (after a fashion).

Yea! Heavy &
A Bottle Of Bread
(Dylan)
Now what d'you suppose that means? Come to that what does any of this song mean? A trip to Cal-i-for-ni-ay, I guess. Oh, and this version substitutes blood for pus, as Bob's first version did.
Crazy Chester plays every damn thing again, with greasy slide to the fore. Tiny sings agin.

You Ain't Going Nowhere
(Dylan)
A song that stands as both summation and critique of the entire Basement Tapes saga. This is not the set of lyrics familiar from the Byrds version, but a tired and emotional, off-the-top-of-the-head, out-of-the-tree version instead. As Bob says - "come on you bunch of Basement noise, you ain't no head of lettuce", and, really, there's no way to disagree.
Crazy Chester plays every damn thing, exceptin' acoustical guitar, which Tiny flails away at. And vocalises, agin.

Clothes Line Saga
(Dylan)
Step back to the lazy, hazy days of 1967s summer of Bobbie Gentry. Come with us now to the Tallahachee Bridge and stop with the folks awhile. You'll meet Ma and Pa and the neighbour, hear about the health of the Vice Pres, visit Nazareth and have yourself a high old time.
Crazy Chester plays every damn thing, exceptin' the Chem 7 guitar which is Tiny's fault. As is the singin'.

| Crash On The Levee (Dylan)
As a storm blows up off the coast of Biloxi and starts its inexorable move towards land, a man stands outside a motel in downtown Bayou Têche. He has just cruelly indicated a hard decision to his significant other. Sheet lightening casts a lace wrap over the sky round New Iberia, and folks look up, wondering when the rain will finally stop. There's one woman that knows that it'll rain for a long time yet.
Crazy Chester plays every damn thing, exceptin' Tiny plays Chem 7 guitar and whale sounds (and singin').
